Job Details
What
are your giftings and interests? Below are descriptions of
some of the many ministry opportunities in need of volunteer
support. After you have reviewed these areas, please fill
out our Volunteer Interest Form
to let us know about your availability and how you'd like
to plug in by serving in the Belmont ministries.
Cell
Office
- Our
Cell Department needs clerical work-people willing to volunteer
several hours per week on a regular basis
- Cell
Leaders are needed to facilitate a cell/small group meetings
on a regular basis.

Cell Pastor, Casey Baluss, needs clerical support.
Children's Ministry
Volunteers
are the heartbeat of our Children's Ministries program. After
completing a screening process, these ladies/gentlemen are
assigned to a group of children where they perform the duty
that they have selected. Positions for volunteers consist
of hugger/rockers and teachers in the Nursery Suite, teachers/caregivers
with the Toddler Department, and Teacher/Assistants with Preschool-6th
grade. Other positions held by volunteers are graphic artists,
musicians, intercessors, etc.
- Nursery
volunteers provide consistency for our infants and toddlers.
We find that the children are much happier knowing that
they have the same caregivers each week. It has also been
an investment in our classrooms. These ladies and gentlemen
take ownership not only of the children, but also of the
classrooms and supplies.
- Youth
make quite a difference in our ministry. They add an element
of playfulness and vitality that the children adore. Knowing
how important it is for teens this age to be spiritually
fed, we try to avoid conflict with youth classes. Several
of our youth workers team with others to alternating weekends
in the children's ministry. They support adult teachers
in the classrooms. We find that the accountability is an
investment in the lives of our teens and gives them a sense
of confidence to work with younger children.
- Special
events childcare is needed in addition to our regular weekly
programs.
- In
our larger areas, such as nursery, preschool, and grade
school, coordinators are needed to support our directors,
caregivers, and teachers. With the larger load in these
areas, they take on some of the regular role of the directors
to help accomplish tasks effectively. They may check roll,
prepare snacks, and double check procedures. In the event
a director is absent, the coordinator is often called upon
to accept phone calls from teachers, find substitutes, and
make sure there is an acceptable teacher/child ratio in
a room. The coordinator is often a substitute for last minute
teacher absences.
- Intercessors
are needed. The intercessory team supports our staff, teachers,
children, & parents through prayer. Guiding these little
ones as they grow is a huge responsibility and we rely on
the Lord's guidance.
- Volunteers
help in curriculum material assembly for our preschool children.
Many of the arts & crafts projects must be pre-cut or
assembled. Extra hands are always helpful during the weekly
preparation.
- We
need volunteers to help clean and disinfect following each
assembly. All toys and equipment in the nursery and toddler
areas must be washed. Since time is limited, extra hands
are very helpful in this task.
