Foundations
of Community Group Leadership
Training for Community Group leadership necessitates a certain amount
of information acquired through books, tape resources, attending
a seminar, as well as skill development that is learned best
on-the-job. Added to this should be a hefty dose of personal
reflectionreflecting on new materials that one has been
exposed to, and on experiences gained from putting the material
into practice. In this regard, much of Community Group leadership is
caught,
not taught.
The
materials below represent a starting point for learning how
to be an effective Community Group intern, Community Group leader, district pastor,
or area Pastor at Belmont Church. The first two sessions provide
an introduction to Community Groups. The remaining thirteen sessions
are topical in nature and designed to provide a brief 8-10
minute overview of the material found in the notes.
