	“Essential for the Human Heart”- The Willow Creek Group Life Conference Simulcast Belmont Church October 17/18, 2008 (Friday 6-8:30 PM & Saturday 9 AM - 3:30 PM ). Enjoy some of the best insight and professional training available for leading small groups and nurturing people toward abundant life in Christ without leaving town! Presenters include leaders of the most successful small group churches around the country, brought to us in digital video and sound. Tickets for Belmont members are $40 each, $55 for others.

Leadership Summit Dates

We presently have no Leadership Summit dates scheduled for 2008.

Leadership Retreat is November 7 & 8.

Leadership Christmas Party is December 5.

Leadership Summit

Belmont leadership gathers quarterly at our Leadership Summit to discuss pertinent events, share insights, support each other's ministries, and to receive further equipping from Belmont pastors. Everyone from Community Group leaders and interns, worship leaders, counselors, and ministry leaders share ideas and upgrade their leadership skills. The Summit takes place from 6:30 to 8 PM in the Worship Center. This encouraging forum offers individual districts and ministry teams the opportunity to meet separately in order to touch base and spend time together in prayer.

Leadership Retreat

Our annual Leadership Retreat takes place in the autumn at Camp Garner Creek. While the weekend getaway is a concentrated time of training and prayer, it's also a couple of days of laughter and encouragement with workshops nestled between ample relaxation and recreation. Comfortable facilities, good food, and wonderful fellowship are the staples of this weekend, which has been set aside to say thank you to our Community Group leaders for their tireless service.

Community Leader Training

Belmont Church is a proponent of lifelong equipping. With that, we're always thinking of ways to enhance our people's skill and knowledge base, to develop leaders, and to steward gifts for godly living and ministry. When it comes to Community Life, the very foundation of our corporate body, we strive to make equipping accessible to every Community Group leader and person interested in leading a Community Group. To that end, we offer training through a variety of outlets. A few times each year, the course is offered in a six-week minimester and, as well, in a one-day concentrated seminar. Additionally, the thirteen-session series of instruction is available on audiocassette. This spring, an updated version will be made available on CD and online.

Christmas Party

We could not end our year without celebrating the wonderful testimonies and tributes to Community Life that have transpired in the lives of many during the prior year.

The Community Group Leaders' Christmas Party is a highpoint of celebration for Belmont. In the splendor of the season, we give honor to Jesus Christ for His infinite grace and unending love. And we honor our Community Group leaders for their willingness to open their hearts and their home, and to serve our community for the past 365 days of the year.
