FAQ's
What kind of church is Belmont?
Belmont is church that attempts to hold in balance the best
of what God has done in the church down through history, and
the best of what the Spirit is doing in the church today.
Is Belmont a Church of Christ, as it reads on the stone
work above the chapel?
Yes and no! Belmont Church was birthed some 95 years ago as
Belmont Avenue Church of Christ. Our historic roots are with
the Church of Christ. In the 70s, Belmonts embracing
of the Spiritual Renewal Movement that swept across denominational
lines, resulted in Belmont changing its name to Belmont
Church. For more information on what we believe, go to our
Affirmation of Faith.
So your pastor is from a Church of Christ background?
You mean our pastors! No. Actually the 18 staff pastors are
from a diverse cross-section of denominations. We have pastors
with Presbyterian, Lutheran, Baptist, Assembly of God, Episcopalian,
and Charismatic backgrounds. And, yes, two of the 18 pastors
are from a Church of Christ background. For more information

of your services?
You can learn more about Belmont by visiting our Welcome Desk
in the foyer of your Worship Center. Our greeter will be happy
to answer any specific questions about when to go where,
and other queries you may have. We have a brochure that introduces

At the end of that video, we recommend a number of other excellent
