Family: My best friend & wife Sandy (1999), mightily blessed with two boys, Samuel David, ‘The Sensitive Artist’ (2003) and Paul Barak ‘The Joyful Bruiser’ (2006)  

Hobbies: Collecting old books with crisp yellow pages, cooking without recipes, growing cactus, bird watching, hiking, more books, playing sports, taking my boys for a cruise in our 1960 Ford Pick-up truck, driving ranges & putting greens. I grew up in the Frozen Tundra, long winters and forced inside, so for better or for worse I also happen to be a very polite card player.
 
Likes: Worship,  people, San Diego weather, early mornings, Greenwich Village, autumn, laughter, six inch birdie putts, the beauty of all God’s creation, being somewhere I’ve never been before, God’s undeniable grace and unrelenting love  

Dislikes: FLIES!
