Pray For Israel:
We are now in the very special season of high holidays and festivals in the Jewish world which figure very prominently on the Biblical calendar. Yom Kippur - the Day of Atonement - is October 9/10. The Feast of Tabernacles, or Sukkot, is October 14-20. During this time the Jewish people will be celebrating, commemorating, and worshipping. Pray that the scriptures will be opened to them as they seek the face of God. Pray for leadings and confirmations that Yeshua is their Messiah and in him will be their peace and spiritual fulfillment. Pray that our Messianic brethren will have great joy in honoring all that God is as our great God and Savior during these special days of awe and worship.

Faith Promise Partners In The Jewish World:
Please remember and pray for our wonderful and faithful partners who work among and on behalf of the Jewish people of the world--Don & Martha Finto of Caleb Company, Eitan & Connie Shishkoff and Avishalom & Hannah Teklehaimanot of Tents of Mercy in Israel, and Kay Hudgins of the Jewish World office of YWAM.

Celebrating
Short-Term Missions 2008:
During the assemblies of October 25/26 we will be celebrating some of the fruit of our short-term missions teams in 2008. We sent 11 Belmont teams to Iraq, Mexico (5), Japan (3), Kenya, and Israel. We worked with our long-term workers in those places and experienced many wonderful Kingdom advance moments during our times of ministry. We look forward to shining some great light on those moments for you who sent us and prayed for us.

Missions Prayer:
Please join us in the Prayer Room on the third Tuesday of each month at Noon for an hour of intercession for our missionaries, the persecuted church, and Israel.

Faith Promise

Thank You for giving to Faith Promise. In previous years, Belmont Church members channeled over $500,000 directly to our missionaries and their projects. Your generosity had a great impact all over the world.

Faith Promise Produces Fruit!10 years of Faith Promise produced a lot of fruit. Click here to get a taste.
Faith Promise is how we support the World Outreach of Belmont Church. It is ushering us into our new era as a cell church equipping its members for impacting neighborhoods and nations. We hope that the Faith Promise method of fund raising honors God and establishes relational and prayer connections between you and our missionaries. We see its proper use as a paradigm-shifting tool of trust in God for our Partnership In The Harvest.

We value your participation and want you to be excited about what we feel the Lord is calling all of us to. It is a godly stretching for all of us to live by faith and not by sight (I Cor.5:7).

A Faith Promise Is…
a vow you make to God - not to the church and not to the missionaries.

A Faith Promise Is…
an exercise in faith over the stewardship of your finances for world outreach.

A Faith Promise Is…
your response to His request.

STEPS TO MAKE A FAITH PROMISE

  • Seek the Lord for the specific amount He wants to make available through you for World Outreach in the coming year.
  • Ask the Lord to help you walk by faith and grow into a faithful steward based on his provision.
  • Trust God's counsel about the amount that you are to give. He will give you His zeal with His wisdom.
  • Become more personally connected to the missionaries. You can contact the missionaries to encourage them and to get updates on their ministries.
  • Collection of your Faith Promise Response Card will begin during March of each year. You will have specific opportunity to do this during the Faith Promise Campaign. The response cards are always available in the lobby so you may join at any time during the year.
  • Designate your Faith Promise gifts by earmarking them "Faith Promise" to differentiate them from your regular giving. Your regular offerings will continue to support the entire church budget including the World Outreach office and administration.
  • Keep track of your gifts - since this is a vow between you and the Lord. This is not a pledge for which the church will hold you accountable or which the church will even individually track.
