He has been a pastor of a church, is a lead faculty member of Trinity School of Ministry, is the founder of an international (Asia, Africa, Middle East, Central America, Europe, and the USA) consortium of churches, colleges and humanitarian ministries called Lifelink International and is a leader of Global Horizons, a ministry started by Rees Howells in the first part of the 20th century in Wales dedicated to training people to take the gospel to the nations. He is a church leadership consultant and he “pastors pastors.” His local church has a big emphasis on ministry to the poor as well as to the nations.

Sunday Evening Session, February 12, With Rev. Scotland: Please join us on Sunday evening in the worship center at 6:00 pm for a time of inspiration and encouragement from a brother with a wealth of experience in God’s Kingdom life all over the globe—from his own local church to the ends of the earth.

Sheila HarrisonHonoring Sheila Harrison February 18-19: Sheila has just retired from many years of service with Wycliffe Bible Translators. She and her late husband, David, changed “careers” in the middle of their lives and became Belmont Faith Promise missionaries with Wycliffe serving in the technical services departments of this agency devoted to creating Bibles in languages never before written down. Sheila retired as the coordinator of the non-Roman script department. We will be honoring Sheila in our assemblies on Feb 18-19 as well hosting a reception for her between services on February 19

Visitors From Iraq At Belmont 11:00 Sunday, February 12

Pastor Yousif is bringing a team of 16 Muslim and Christian educators to Nashville for an educational seminar. They will be guests in our assemblies at the 11:00 service on February 12. Please be prepared to give them a warm welcome as they are introduced. For most of our Muslim guests it will be their first time ever in a church.

Who is this team?

Pastor Yousif, founder of the Evangelical Church of Iraq and partner with Belmont for 20 years , will be leading an entourage of 16 Kurdish visitors from Kurdistan of Iraq for an educational seminar he has instigated here in Nashville at David Lipscomb University and Franklin Classical School. There will be 9 representatives from the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Religion and 7 from the three Classical School of the Medes, founded by Pastor Yousif. This team of Muslims and Christians will be with us during the worship and praise portion of our 11:00 assembly on February 12 and we will take a few minutes to introduce them and greet them warmly. Most of our Muslims guests will never before have been in a Christian worship service. Most of our Christian guests are well known to Mick and have been with Pastor Yousif for many years. Thank you for your warm reception to these very special guests. If you are a regular attender of the 9:00 assembly and want to stay for a second worship time in order to bless our guests with our corporate greeting, please feel free to linger with the 11:00 congregation that Sunday.
