No
one
would send an army into battle without at least some type
of basic training. Yet, many artists are sent out lacking
just that…which is why there is a great need for us to
be nurtured, trained and grounded in God's Word, and to walk
in accountable relationships that are committed to our spiritual
well-being. Spiritual equipping and God-centeredness in each
artist will produce new freedom and vision to follow Jesus
at any cost.
Nashville
has become a magnet for Christian
artists and musicians; we believe it is to become
more and more a launching pad, as creative ministry teams
are formed—both short and long-term—and sent out.
This ministry will take place on the local, national and international
levels, and in partnership with existing ministries.
No
matter where God is calling
you, He ultimately wants you to be equipped for
the works He has prepared in advance for you (Eph.2:10). His
desire is to grow us up into maturity in Christ, not only
so that we may know Him better, but also so we may be more
effective witnesses as we use the gifts He has entrusted to
us. This is the purpose of THE
CRUCIBLE.
Each
weekly session of The
Crucible consists of solid teaching from
an assortment of gifted teachers—artists and non-artists—who
will challenge, instruct and encourage. Opportunities are
also given for interaction and ministry to each other, as
we seek to allow God to transform us through what we are receiving.
The course also includes one weekend getaway, as well as concrete
opportunities for creative ministry.
