Worship
Choir
There are two ways to be involved in choir,
the
Worship Choir and the Celebration Choir. Worship choir rehearses
the first Wednesday of the month and then leads worship that
weekend with the regular worship team. They do not sing special
music. This choir is perfect for those who love to lead in
worship without the distraction of intricate vocal parts or
having to look at printed music. Anyone with a heart of worship
can join us the first Wednesday of the month and then sing
that Sunday! The Wednesday rehearsal will be co-led by McLauren
Foster and the worship leader for that weekend. Celebration
choir is for those who love to bring the Lord an offering
of musical excellence, who read music or have a strong enough
ear to learn parts and enjoy singing special music selections.
This choir meets the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Wednesday nights of
the month for rehearsal, and sings as necessary in assemblies
( Father's Day, Easter, Fourth of July etc.). Because of the
difficulty of the music, more commitment is required to participate
in Celebration choir than Worship choir. We believe that WORSHIPPING
GOD is the main thing, and that it can happen whether we are
being spontaneous or whether we have planned out what
to sing with great care. Whether we are on the mike or not,
whether we are trained musicians or not, whether we are reading
music or not. Our choirs are designed to meet the needs of
singers who love both ways of lifting their voices to the
Lord! And the congregation is led easily into authentic worship
when they have a body of their peers worshipping from the
platform. If you have a heart of worship and praise, come
join one or both of these choirs. Please contact Worship
and Arts for more information and a schedule.
