Youth FAQ's

How do you effectively minister to so many youth?

At Belmont Church we believe in a team approach. Many hands make few work - we value our adult youth leaders and their time to the ministry. We can’t do the quality of ministry without them. Sunday school Teachers, Contact Groups leaders, Intercessors, Servants, Musicians, Small Groups leaders, prayer shield, etc.

We also value student leadership and give opportunity for students to lead ministries especially with our youth service Rock the World.

Do the youth have any input to the direction of the ministry?

We have our Contact Groups that are encouraged to take leadership roles within the youth services. We believe that student involvement is critical for keeping it real in our setting. Nashville is arts city where so many of our students are musicians and artists. We also have a youth council that is made up of 10-15 students from all ages who meet together to give input and reflection on their ministry. They hold us true to the youth vision of Reaching Up- Reaching In- Reaching Out.

Do you have fun?

Well, uh… too much.. Proverbs 17:22 is our mandate- a joyful heart is good medicine. We laugh a lot around the office. Our students laugh at us.
