Volunteer Opportunities

The doors of Carter-Lawrence Elementary School are open to us again. There are weekly, monthly, quarterly and one-time volunteer opportunities. Please read through the following opportunities and contact Judi Cochran (sjcochran@belmont.org) if you are interested in serving.

EMAIL JUDI

Choose one day a week to sit with a student at lunch.  You simply show up, sit with them and visit while they eat lunch as a consistent someone who cares about them.

  • 2nd – 3rd grade 10:55am – 11:25am
  • 4th – 5th grade 11:30am – 12:00pm
  • K – 1st grade 12:05pm – 12:35pm

Help collect, bag, and distribute purchases parents make with their earned Carter-Lawrence bucks.

  • 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month from 7:15am – 8:15am

An event carried out after school or on a Saturday once per quarter for students and their families. The event for the the first quarter of 2025 happened in January. Stay tuned for the date for the second quarter.

Read Across America Week (March 2025). You read to a class or with individuals at a designated time during the week. Stay tuned for days and time.
