How long have you been at Belmont Church? It feels like just yesterday, but I first walked into Belmont Church on August 20, 2023. At the time, I was searching for a church in Nashville after moving here for my master’s degree at Vanderbilt University. By God’s grace, everything I was hoping to find in a church, I found at Belmont—and from that day on, I kept coming back every Sunday.
How long have you been in this position? Since August 2025
Best thing about your job: I love investing in the lives of youth—equipping and empowering them with God’s Word and practical tools to help them love Jesus and live out their calling in His kingdom. I especially enjoy spending time with the youth – learning cool lingo and being encouraged by their faith and teaching on Sunday mornings with Gypsy. One of the highlights for me is walking into the room and hearing the kids excitedly shout, “MICHELLE”—it lifts my heart and spirit every time.
Family: I am the only daughter of my parents, Shibu and Prasanna. My parents live in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, while my extended family is in Mumbai, India.
What are things outside of work that help you refresh? I love walking at Fannie Mae Dees Park, doing art projects, journaling and writing letters to friends, swimming, cooking food from around the world, making chai, and drinking chocolate milk!
Worship songs you’ll always turn up: In Over My Head (Bethel Music), Behold (Hillsong Worship), Faithful Wounds (Cory Ashbury), Manna (Chris Renzema), I Know (Big Daddy Weave), 4th Man (Jonathan and Melissa Hesler) and a mix of worship songs in other languages I’m familiar with (Hindi, Malayalam, Urdu, Arabic and Spanish).
Life Scripture: Micah 6:8
